The rules:
- Auction is open to law library members only.
- Any books not sold in this auction may be listed on public used book sites, such as alibris.
- All proceeds go to the Lyon County Law Library funds.
- Bids may be submitted by email to the law library (sgfowler@lyoncounty.org) and will be updated each day by 7pm.
- Tie bids will be given to the one sent first, based on the email timestamp.
- This auction ends at 5pm Monday, June 30.
- Winner(s) will be notified by email.
- Winners are responsible to pay for and pick up books within 7 days of auction end.
Special notes:
- Retail price is what the newest edition would cost. In the case of technology, it’s either the manufacturer’s list or what we paid for it.
- The set of KSAs does not include the General Index. Most volumes are obsolete but will look pretty on a bookshelf (after you remove the library stickers with GooGone).
- The West’s Code of Federal Regulations (2006) makes online CFR searching a breeze. This 4-volume print set allows (almost) natural language searching, which saves a ton of time searching the often-frustrating online CFR.
- The DSL Modem &/or Netgear Wireless Router would be excellent for a small office or home use. Note that the router is missing its power supply but should be easily replaced with a standard 12V—1.5A.
- The wireless PC card is for notebook computers—yes, I know most laptops come with these built in. But if you have a dinosaur that’s raring to surf the Web, this card is calling your name.
- Winners are responsible for paying for & removing books/equipment from the library within 7 days of auction end.
- Someday the law librarian will dust off her database skills and make this auction live, à la eBay. Until then, updates are done manually and more than 1 bid may overtake yours before an email notification can be sent. Your patience is appreciated.
